At Leicester Tutor Company, our goal is to ensure that all of our learners see the help and guidance they need with all of their core subjects. We look to recommend the best resources that are available weekly to make our learners prepared for their final exams. This week we’re looking at GCSE Biology revision materials. Like most subjects, the most efficient resources are those which  offer practice questions and practise papers which also allow easy note taking capabilities.

A common mistake learners make is moving straight onto previous exam papers before they are actually comfortable with the exam material. This is an issue as it wastes useful resources but more importantly it will deplete the ;learners confidence as they will receive a poor test from the exam. GCSE Biology revision should involve learning the key facts first especially as there are more than most subjects and then testing your knowledge with a past exam paper. Before past papers however,we do advise you completing worksheet questions first to prepare yourself for the tougher exam style questions.

Once you have a good understanding of the course content, you should then look to move onto the GCSE Biology past papers. To get the most out of these papers, you should complete them in exam conditions and time frame and then mark them with the corresponding mark scheme. This will allow you to identify your weakest areas which you can then revisit at the end of your exam to strengthen your knowledge and fill in any gaps. After repeating this process you will see a rise in your confidence and your average grade which will obviously put you in a good position to sit your exams.

If you are interested in any resources for any of your core subjects please feel free to get in touch today and we will be happy to offer you the best material available.
